Latina Pageant highlights a night of food, music and festivities
Celebrate El Grito at Spotlight 29 Casino! Saturday, September 11th, will be a night of food, music and festivities for the 200th Anniversary Celebration of Mexican Independence.
The Spotlight 29 Showroom doors open at 6pm and tickets are just $5 when purchased at the Spotlight 29 Casino box office or $10 from www.startickets.com or by calling 800-585-3737.
Highlighting the evening will be the Most Beautiful Latina Pageant. 20 first-generation, Hispanic ladies born in a Latin country, but currently residing in the states will vie for the title of Most Beautiful Latina in the USA. The winner of the US pageant, along with four other finalists, will move onto the International competition held in Las Vegas in October to compete for the world title.
The pageant, which includes representation from Mexico, El Salvador, Cuba and more, begins with each contestant being introduced in her native costume. There is also a swim suit, evening gown and question and answer portion in the competition.
Performing before the pageant will be Castillo, Jazmin and Cheyenne. Castillo, the bi-lingual boy band, consists of brothers Richie, Joey and Zeke, is currently touring the US before hitting Columbia and Mexico.
The festivities are hosted by Cindy Martinez of Telemundo's El Nuevo Con Chile y Limon and Sammy Bernal from La Poderosa, 96.7 FM.
Guests will also enjoy delicious Mexican cuisine, tequila, Dos Equis and more.
