In the spirit of good citizenship and business practice, Ready Hands Home Care has always believed in giving back to the community of Northern Virginia where they operate most of their business.
Ready Hands has always been committed and involved in community affairs as part of its business Social Responsibility Program.
To this end, Ready Hands Home Care was pleased to support two important local organizations in making a difference to the lives of area residents this year.
In February 2010, Ready Hands presented a cash donation to project Mend-A-House in support of its valuable work on behalf of needy area residents.
Project Mend-A-House is a volunteer based organization that was founded back in 1984 to assist the disabled, seniors and needy residents of Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park; remain safely and independently in their own homes.
Project Mend-A-House provides ramps, home safety modifications, grab bars and other helpful improvements for the disabled in Northern Virginia.
Due to decreased funding, Project Mend-A-House and other Charitable Organizations have been suffering and working on tight budgets.
Ready Hands action was meant to not only support, but also raise awareness and spur other local businesses in the area to support such projects.
Ready Hands is also involved with the National Capital Area Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The staff at Ready Hands Home Care participated in the Prince William County Memory Walk in the month of May, to help raise Money for research and treatment of Alzheimer’s disease.
