• 13th batch of BCA programme at School of Management Sciences, Varanasi began today with an exhaustive orientation programme

13th batch of BCA programme at School of Management Sciences, Varanasi began with a one day orientation programme ON 12 Aug. Speaking in the inaugural session, Chief Guest, Prof. K.P. Singh, Director, Institute of Technology, B.H.U., Varanasi, said that BCA is an important course in the current economic scenario as it is useful for the development of information technology & communication. Blessing the new students, Prof. Singh said that a student must have knowledge, learning and patience as these elements help in the development of the innerself. He also advised that students should help in building the society and at the same time make sincere efforts to bring laurels to the institution and to the nation as a whole.
Prof Singh further urged the students to work hard to grasp the necessary skills in their three years course duration and to solicit the blessings of their parents and teachers. Speaking on the occasion Prof. Satya Singh, Head & Dean, Department of Computer Science, M.G. Kashi Vidyapeeth said that emphasis on new technology and to adopt it with full verve is the call of the hour.

Prof. K.M.Pandey, Emeritus Professor, SMS gave blessings to the students and said that hard work, sincere efforts and focus on the present are the key to success. Students should make best use of the available resources for acquiring the knowledge.
Earlier Prof. P. N. Jha, Director, SMS welcomed the chief guest and the new students. He said that the main objective of SMS Varanasi is to provide the best technical education and develop the personality of students so that they could transform themselves into a world class professional. He advised the students to make the best use of their time and sharpen their skills to become good professionals. He further enlightened the students on the relevance of a holistic personality development and the importance of discipline in life. Mr. Sharad Raghuvansh, Reader & Coordinator, BCA, explained the details of the curriculum to the students. Mr. Kamal Sheel Mishra, HOD Computer Science also blessed the students and said that commitment, punctuality and regularity is the essence for a bright future.
Earlier, the programme began with the lamp lighting and garlanding of the statue of Goddess Saraswati by the Chief Guest Prof.K.P.Singh, Dr. M. P. Singh, Executive Secretary, Prof. P. N. Jha, Director, SMS, Prof.K.M.Pandey Emeritus Professor, SMS. Prof.P.N.Jha further felicitatedthe chief guest with a memento. In the end, Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Registrar, SMS proposed vote of thanks. The inaugural session was coordinated by Ms. Indrani Sengupta, Lecturer, SMS. On this occasion the faculty members were also present.
