Pro-life voters learn that Jim Rutledge is the pick for the U. S. Senate
FOREST HILL, Maryland- Republican U.S. Senate Candidate Jim Rutledge has received the endorsement of the Maryland Right to Life Political Action Committee. Angela Martin, Executive Director of the Maryland Right to Life Political Action Committee recently notified the Rutledge Campaign of their endorsement and support for Jim Rutledge’s candidacy for the U.S. Senate aimed at defeating Barbara Mikulski this November. Jim Rutledge said, “I’m honored to receive the strong endorsement of Maryland Right to Life. Maryland Right to Life has been a tireless advocate for life in our state.”
Senator Barbara Mikulski has spent 34 years in Washington spending the taxpayers’ money to promote federal and international policies that disregard the sanctity of life. Jim Rutledge and the Maryland Right to Life agree that Maryland can no longer afford Barbara Mikulski and her misguided policies.
“The government should not encourage people to disregard the innocent life of the unborn. Such policies encourage a culture of death. Instead, we should unite around our common respect for innocent life,” says Jim Rutledge. “The Declaration of Independence declared the purpose of government is to secure our unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” explains Jim Rutledge, “and I affirm those truths today.”
Jim Rutledge says, “Civilization and liberty can only exist in a culture where the strong protect the weak. The unborn child is the most defenseless person in America. I support the efforts of Maryland Right to Life because no one can dispute that the unborn child is both innocent and utterly defenseless.”
This endorsement by Maryland Right to Life provides another example of why conservatives are backing Jim Rutledge as their choice in the Republican primary for the United States Senate.
