A Good Daughter Elder Care Management Specializes in Dementia Care

According to Olga Brunner, founder of A Good Daughter Elder Care Management, “We have assembled a team of eldercare experts that allow for a unique understanding what adult children are facing in coping with their elderly parent’s declining health and well-being, particularly those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia disorders.” One member of the team, MaryLynne Beringer of Boynton Beach, has recently received the designation of Certified Dementia Practitioner this month from the National Council for Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP). As registered nurse and clinical care manager for the organization, Beringer is a woman of extraordinary compassion for her clients.
“Beringer originally moved from California to Florida to semi-retire when we met at a Women-In-Healthcare meeting in Delray Beach, but she never did”, says Brunner. “Not only does she volunteer for the Palm Beach Chapter of the Red Cross; soon will begin teaching caregivers at PBCC; and nurse volunteer for Leisureville’s ‘We Care’ program, but brings outstanding clinical and training skills and is a great asset to our firm.” Beringer is a member of the National Association of the Professional Geriatric Care Managers and the Florida Nurses Association, and is an R.N. with a B.A degree in Behavioral Science.

Having been affected by the daunting task of being a caregiver while employed, she became determined to start a business which would help other caregivers navigate the troubled waters of elder care. Brunner became a professional geriatric care manager after completing an MS degree in Health Care Administration and employment as an assistant administrator and activity director at a 170-bed nursing home.
